Water activities

Water activities include boating, canoeing, jet-boating, kayaking, parasailing, waterskiing, whitewater rafting, and a variety of lake cruises. Some offer a relaxing experience, others are a pure adrenalin rush.

 Skydive and Bungy

Taupo is the skydive capital of the world, with more than 30 000 jumps per year! Try jumping out of a plane from 15,000 feet and experience the rush of a 60 second free fall while taking in the incredible views of Lake Taupo and surrounds.

Bungy jump from the world's first cantilever platform which extends out 47 metres above the Waikato River.

There are numerous Cycling, mountain bike tracks  & hiking trails in Taupo. Take the kids quad biking, or take a scenic flight in a helicopter or the local floatplane.

Golf

For golfing enthusiasts, there are five golf courses in the area including the Wairakei International Golf Course and the Kinloch Golf club, the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course in New Zealand, only 20 minutes away.
